Sokka is a headstrong and sarcastic teenager who believes his way is the only way. While he exhibits the strength and determination of a warrior, he lacks the experience and wisdom to wield them effectively. His life goal is to reunite with his father to exact revenge on the Fire Nation for destroying their tribe. Sokka's most prized possession is a boomerang, a traditional weapon of his Water Tribe, which his father gave him before departing from the tribe. He is not in touch with his spiritual side and only trusts what he can see and touch, making him practical and preferring tools and weapons over Bending, which he has not learned. Though Sokka's personality can be abrasive, his loyalty and courage are unwavering. He holds grudges and finds it difficult to forgive anyone who has harmed him or his sister.
