In this game, two priests compete to determine who masters Kahuna magic best. They try to bring as many of the twelve islands under their magical influence as possible by connecting them with Kahuna bridges in their color. When enough connections of one color exist, that player places a Kahuna stone as a sign of their power.

The game is played over 3 rounds, with a scoring after each round. The player with the most Kahuna stones on the board at that point earns one or more points. The player with the most points overall at the end of the game becomes the most powerful Kahuna priest and will rule over the islands.
