Only ground-based transport remains: small, erratic, vulnerable to gangs and thieves, and disproportionately expensive. A nuclear bomb devastated downtown Night City, leaving irradiated ashes where the corporate district once stood. People are migrating en masse, settling in cities abandoned during the last century’s crisis, far from the corporations and their schemes.

Everything is calm before the storm; everyone smiles at the thought of the payday—but when bullets start flying, explosions rock the air, and enemies gleam with cyber implants, your pals disappear.
